A night off is rare with an under 5.
We try to have date nights where we can. Whether that’s a film night together at home (with a glass of wine) or a nice dinner somewhere with or without the little person.

We quite often have to take annual leave to share moments without our daughter. We love being a family but it’s important to remember life before our little ones and share our memories and experiences.

Edinburgh Festival is a favourite of ours.
I remember with fondness and dread the first time we went to a festival event in Aug 2014, it was a washout. It poured on the way to the bus stop (as we ran from student accommodation) and worsened by the time we arrived. We both realised that night that Edinburgh was not fun in the heavy rain. We did share our love of comedy and enjoyed supporting amateur comedians/ comedians in their moments of fame.
We then went to many other festivals together including my favourite in 2015- The Science Festival. I vividly remember a late night at the museum, it was a fun experience. Learning about science and drinking Prosecco what is not to love ❤️ about that. I also got to see my first 3D printer in action.
